Joe Giles began his golf career at the young age of 13 in 1969 at the Granville Golf Course. In 1977, he became Assistant Professional. In 1985, he became a member of the PGA (Professional Golfers Association). Joe took on the duties of Greens Superintendent in 1988 and was awarded the title of Head Professional in 1990.
Giles left Granville Golf Course in 1992 to become the Head Professional and General Manager at Raccoon International Golf Club, also in Granville. While at Raccoon, he developed an award winning teaching institute called Raccoon University. In 1996, he left Raccoon to assume the duties of Head Professional at Chapel Hill Golf Course in Mt. Vernon. In the Fall of 2005, Joe left Chapel Hill to become part owner of Granville Golfland.
In 2018, Joe left Granville Golfland to open Joe Giles Indoor Golf and to become a PGA Teaching Professional at Denison Golf Club at Granville.
Joe is a lifelong resident of Licking County and a 1974 Newark Catholic graduate.
